Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters will bring in legendary artist John Cassaday to create covers connected to iconic bounty hunters.
Celebrated artist John Cassaday will return to Star Wars with a series of connecting covers for the upcoming Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters miniseries.
The five-part cover features the bounty hunters hired by Darth Vader to track down Han Solo in The Empire Strikes Back. Boba Fett, Dengar, IG-88 and Bossk will each have their own cover and the fifth will be shared by 4-LOM and Zuckuss. They will all connect to form a complete work of art.

This crossover event is set on Marvel’s current roster of Star Wars Titles. Taking place in the post-The Empire Strikes Back galaxy, the story will take fans on an adventure featuring some of Star Wars’ best and brightest bounty hunters. In addition to the aforementioned bounty hunters, other key and familiar characters will be involved, including everyone’s favorite amoral archaeologist, Doctor Aphra.
Bounty hunter war begins May 5 with a special issue called Alpha Bounty Hunter War # 1 by Soule and Steve McNiven that sets the stage for the larger story that will unfold throughout the miniseries. While Cassaday provides the cover variant, Luke Ross will handle the interior illustrations for all five. Bounty hunter war trouble with Charles Soule writing the story.

John Cassaday’s previous credits include Amazing X-Men, Star Wars Y Captain Americaas well as the sci-fi series that doubles the genre Planetary for the Wildstorm label of DC Comics. Cassaday’s last trip to a galaxy far, far away saw him illustrate the first six issues of 2015 Star Wars written by Jason Aaron, who settled between A new hope Y The Empire Strikes Back.
Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters Alpha # 1, by Charles Soule and Steve McNiven, goes on sale May 5 at Marvel Comics.
