Alexa Bliss talks about her previous abandoned Bray Wyatt team

While their current partnership came to an end at WrestleMania 37, Alexa Bliss recently revealed that she and Bray Wyatt were almost paired up earlier.

WWE’s Alexa Bliss has recently revealed that she and Bray Wyatt almost teamed up much earlier. Long before “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt took Little Miss Bliss to the dark side, a plan was floated that would have turned them into an on-screen duo. This potential story made sense as his Harley Quinn-style stunt would have dovetailed with Bray Wyatt’s Fiend stunt, which was heavily influenced by the Joker.

As is often the case in the wrestling world, it all came down to time. At the time, Bliss was doing a great job on her own, which would eventually lead to a successful team alongside Nikki Cross. The inevitable happened, and the two were eventually paired up during the current WWE pandemic era. But Alexa believes that all of this was for the best and that now is the right time for that partnership.

“So I don’t think it would have worked for me back then,” he explained. “I don’t think it would have made sense. I don’t think it would have worked. And we didn’t know if it was going to work this time, but obviously we both worked very hard to create this dynamic between the two of us, and I think it was a lot of fun.”

In mid-2020, The Fiend and Alexa Bliss were part of the Slap roster when he approached her in the ring. From there, the character of Alexa began to change as she got closer to the Bray Wyatt. As a full-fledged duo, they returned to the Raw roster and began tormenting other superstars, most notably Randy Orton. Additionally, she became one of the few welcome fighters at Firefly Fun House.

WrestleMania 37 saw a big change in the dynamics of their relationship. During his comeback match with Orton, Bliss betrayed The Fiend and nearly handed the victory to Randy. The next night in Raw, the duo effectively declared their separation and may have started a supernatural fight between them. Randy Orton also moved on as he was involved in a Triple Threat match to decide who would face Bobby Lashley for his WWE Championship at WrestleMania kickback.

Wwe Monday night raw airs Mondays at 8 pm ET on USA Network. WrestleMania kickback will take place on Saturday, May 16 at the WWE ThunderDome, hosted at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, and will be broadcast live exclusively on Peacock in the United States and on WWE Network elsewhere.
