Customers trying to purchase Disneyland tickets are experiencing long delays on the Happiest Place on Earth ticket website.

Do you want to go to Disneyland? Apparently everyone else too.

Ahead of its reopening on April 30, tickets to Happiest Place on Earth went on sale on April 15 at 8 a.m. ticket website faces significant delays as customers flood the site to purchase tickets. At the time of this writing, the approximate waiting time to make a purchase is “over an hour.”

At 4:14 pm PST, the following message was posted on the site. “We are experiencing high demand given the historic nature of the Disneyland Resort reopening. To provide a robust Guest experience, we are deliberately pushing Guests through the system. Wait times can be several hours or longer depending on when you joined the queue. We have plenty of reserve availability and plan to keep the system open overnight to meet demand. Please do not upgrade and we will help you get through the queue as soon as we can. We know you are so excited to get back to Disneyland Resort as we are here to welcome you back, and we appreciate your patience as we work to accommodate as many Guests as possible. “

Tickets can only be purchased through the reservation system and cannot be purchased at the park gates. Additionally, only California residents can enter the park, a policy that adheres to current state guidelines. Masks must be worn at the park, which will operate with limited capacity, and Disney is instituting a number of health and safety procedures to ensure guests stay healthy.

Disneyland and Disney California Adventure have been closed for more than a year, but guests will enjoy new experiences upon their return. On June 4, the highly anticipated Avengers Campus will open to the public at California Adventure. Located right next to the existing Guardians of the Galaxy – Escape Mission!, Marvel themes will include a Spider-Man ride, as well as restaurants based on Ant-Man and the Wasp and the shawarma shop of the Avengers. And this could be just the beginning. Concept art for the Disneyland Forward initiative revealed that an expansion of Wakanda may be in the works.
