Peaky Blinders and Harry Potter star Helen McCrory passed away at the age of 52 after a battle with cancer, confirmed her husband Damian Lewis.

Helen McCrory, who played Polly Gray in Peaky blinders and Narcissa Malfoy in the finale Harry Potter movies, has died at the age of 52.

Damian Lewis, McCrory’s husband, shared the news of his passing on social media. “It breaks my heart to announce that after a heroic battle with cancer, the beautiful and powerful woman Helen McCrory has died peacefully at home, surrounded by a wave of love from friends and family,” Lewis wrote on Twitter. “She died as she lived. Without fear. God, we love her and we know how lucky we are to have had her in our lives. She glowed so brightly. Go now, Little One, on the air, and thank you.

Born on August 17, 1968, McCrory had a long and successful acting career, appearing in Interview with the Vampire, Charlotte gray, The Count of Monte Cristo, Casanova, The Queen, Hugo, Skyfall, Peaky blinders, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 Y Penny dreadful.

Lewis and McCrory married in July 2007 and have a 14-year-old daughter and a 13-year-old son. The couple co-founded Feed NHS, a non-profit campaign that raised money to feed NHS workers.
