Vin Diesel to star in live action Robots Rock ‘Em Sock’ Em movie. Mattel Films and Universal have reportedly partnered with Diesel for the live-action film adaptation of the famous tabletop boxing robot game, marking the latest of several future film projects based on popular children’s toys.
The Robots Rock ‘Em Sock’ Em The film will follow a father and son who “form an unlikely bond with an advanced war machine.” Vin Diesel is set to star in a lead role in the film alongside production with his One Race Films label and partner Samantha Vincent. Ryan Engle (Rampage, The traveler) wrote the script. Kevin McKeon will direct the Mattel Films project.

This project follows an earlier report that Mattel Films and Universal Pictures were collaborating on a Fuse film, based on the television series of the same name.
