Netflix boss Ted Sarandos reveals several exclusives scheduled for late 2021, including new seasons of The Witcher and Cobra Kai.
According to Netflix Co-CEO and Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos, the new seasons of The Wizard, Cobra Kai Y Your They should arrive in the fourth quarter of 2021.
Sarandos made the announcement during the video call with the company’s investors to find out its financial results for the first quarter, as reported by Term. “What happened in the first part of this year was that many of the projects that we expected to come out earlier were pushed due to delays in post-production and [COVID-19] delays and we believe that we will return to a much more stable state in the second half of the year, “explained Sarandos.

In addition to the aforementioned series, Sarandos said that this also affected some of the “great films of the company”, specifically Red notice Y Escape from Spiderhead. Both films are now similarly scheduled to premiere sometime between October and December.
The Wizard Season 2 ended production on April 1 after 158 days of filming. Although filming began in February 2020, it was forced to stop a month later, around the same time it emerged that season 2 cast member Kristofer Hivju contracted the coronavirus (COVID-19). Production resumed in August 2020 under new pandemic-era health and safety protocols, only for a brief hiatus when four crew members reportedly contracted the virus the following November. A month later, star Henry Cavill injured his hamstring while performing a stunt, but was able to recover fairly quickly.
Outside of a two-week shutdown in early January, the California-based company Your Season 3 has had no major delays since filming began in November 2020. Production at Cobra Air Season 4 has been even smoother since it officially began on February 26 in Georgia.
The Wizard stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan as Ciri, and Joey Batey as Dandelion. Season 1 is now available on Netflix.
Cobra Kai stars William Zabka, Ralph Macchio, Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Maridueña, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni DeCenzo, Peyton List, and Martin Kove. Seasons 1, 2, and 3 are currently available to stream on Netflix. Season 4 does not currently have a release date.
