Once again rumors circulate about Metal Gear Solidpossible return to PlayStation consoles. There have been multiple unsubstantiated leaks, and former Snake voice actor David Hayter indicated that Konami has a Metal Gear Solid project in the works. Fans have been hungry to get back to the tactical spy action thrills that the series had become famous for offering.

Hitman 3
Hitman 3 perfects the reward of stealth-based gameplay, offering players countless ways to assassinate their targets. Large, open pieces allow players to hunt for information, dress up, acquire new weapons, learn the target’s schedule, and manipulate the environment to their advantage. The Batman: Arkham The games put players in the caped crusader suit as they fight to save Gotham from certain doom. The last of us
The last of us combines stealth-based gameplay with a remake of the zombie apocalypse. The world, ravaged by a fungal-based infection that turns much of the population into creatures adjacent to zombies, is on the brink of collapse. Players embark on a journey across the US and encounter monsters born from both this infection and human despair. Luring enemies into vantage points or sneaking past them undetected are common situations when players try to gather enough resources to defend themselves if necessary. Stealth is at the forefront of experience, but a run-and-shoot approach is always on the table if supplies are available.
The last of us It was released in 2013 on PlayStation 3, with a remastered version coming to PlayStation 4 the following year.
Elite Sniper 4
Elite Sniper 4 take the best of Metal Gear Solidstealth elements and adjusts it for a WWII setting. In essence, the game revolves around using a reliable sniper rifle to take out targets and complete objectives, but this entry in the series has more depth than previous ones. The levels are larger and more open, adding more verticality and allowing players to move and position freely. There is also a more extensive arsenal of weapons, many of which are powered by the series’ impressive X-ray destruction chamber feature. Add formidable enemy AI plus additional stealth features, and you’ve got the closest WWII contemporary to Metal Gear Solid that exist.
Elite Sniper 4 was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2017. It was ported to Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia in 2020.
