It has long been known that the Marvel Cinematic Universe television series on Disney + will connect to future big screen features, but exactly how this will be done remains to be seen. Specifically, The wonders seems to rely on familiarity with Mrs. Marvel series, which will introduce Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan to the MCU. Kevin Feige can make a statement similar to the one Stranger / WandaVision one claiming The wonders can stand on its own, and the MCU has been great at making most of its movies work on its own terms, such as with Captain America the First Avenger Y Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
However, it seems that people who only watch movies will be lost if they watch The wonders without looking Mrs. Marvel First. In addition to introducing Kamala, it seems likely Mrs. Marvel It will also help contextualize what Carol Danvers means to the MCU in the present. At the moment, Carol is still something of a stranger on Earth; had her affair with Nick Fury in the ’90s and later helped save the day in a major way in EndgameBut what does she mean to the people of Earth? Since Kamala is already a fan of Carol before she became Ms. Marvel, the Mrs. Marvel show should be the perfect opportunity to answer this question.
While some folks haven’t jumped on the Disney + train, it seems like it will be difficult to stay out of it for much longer. Especially if The wonders pique their interest, then watch Mrs. Marvel when it is released it is practically essential.
