The TimeSplitters The series has been dormant for over fifteen years at this stage, much to the dismay of gamers around the world. The iconic FPS franchise is fondly remembered for its lightning-fast gameplay, irreverent British humor, and sheer variety. Since developer Free Radical Design went into administration in 2009, the series has changed hands multiple times, however, no new entry in the series has seen the light of day.

The intellectual property is currently owned by Deep Silver’s Dambuster Studios (which was originally a Free Radical design) and the team is exploring ways to bring the series back. Until then, fans have something else to get excited about. Former Dambuster employee Matt Phillips revealed that he had managed to fully portray TimeSplitters 2 int0 2016’s Homefront: The Revolution, and now anyone can access it.

Easter Egg Location

Homefront was already well known for hosting the first two levels of TimeSplitters 2’s The story mode before the reveal contained the entire game, and this Easter egg must be unlocked before anything else. The Easter Egg is hidden in an arcade cabinet spent in the mission “Small By Name”. This takes about five to six hours in The revolution; Players can find that the cabinet is located upstairs in the Stock Market stash.

After accessing the easter egg through the cabinet, TimeSplitters 2 It can be accessed from the game’s main menu, in the Extras option. From here, unlock codes can be entered for the rest of the classic game content. When entering the following codes, players must start at TimeSplitters 2’s story mode menu, and pause by entering any code while the game moves from one menu to another, as various combinations of codes will make the game do so.

Each of these codes must be re-entered each time the game is started, as the port is not compatible with the original profile system, which was used to save progress. The codes are as follows:

It is important to note that the port is buggy in the menu UI and may have some bugs as it was never given full development time. Unlocking the arcade mode also unlocks all modes, characters, weapons, and maps for use in custom matches. Cheats and all other extras are locked behind separate codes:

As fans eagerly await the announcement of something new for the series, these codes for Homefront: The Revolution allows players to return to the classic shooter game. While it is an understandably imperfect port, it is a great way for players to interact with it. TimeSplitters series on current generation consoles.

TimeSplitters has once again demonstrated its enduring appeal to the gaming industry with the hype surrounding the port and it only serves as further proof that Dambuster is doing the right thing by exploring ways to resurrect the franchise. With the recent news that Free Radical co-founder Steve Ellis has joined the team to lead their TimeSplitters efforts, the future is finally looking perfect for this beloved series.
