Ariel’s shots reported by Daily mail Provide an aerial view of New Asgard, the Earth residence of Thor’s people after the destruction of Asgard in Thor: Ragnarok. Located in Sydney, Australia, the buildings include houses, a pub, and what appears to be a hotel offering tours, though only half of the venues appear fully built. Two huge blue screen panels also flank the top sides of the set, as well as a very old-looking ship docked near the outskirts of town.

New Asgard first appeared in Avengers Endgame as a Norwegian seaside town transformed into the home of the surviving Asgardians since Thanos attacked their ship during Avengers: Infinity Wars‘opening scene and broke half of all life in the universe of existence. During that time, however, Thor had become depressed and Fortnite-obsessed by his failure to initially kill Thanos, which resulted in Valkyrie doing the daily leadership job. Ultimately, Thor renounced his title as King of Asgard to Valkyrie at the end of Endgame, giving his people a more reliable leader as he chooses to join Star-Lord and the Guardians of the Galaxy on space missions.
Thor: love and thunder It will not only see the return of Hemsworth to Earth, but also the characters of the Guardians, Star-Lord, Nebula, Mantis and Drax and Kraglin, a member of Ravagers. Also going back to the Thor franchise are Lady Sif and Jane Foster, who have not appeared in a Marvel movie since 2013 Thor: The Dark World, featuring Jane’s story of seeing her take on the hammer and the title of Thor. While the movie’s plot details remain under wraps, you’ll see Asgardians and Guardians battle a new cosmic foe in Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher.
Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: love and thunder stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif, Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax, Karen Gillan as Nebula, and Christian Bale as Gorr the Butcher God. The film hits theaters on May 6, 2022.
