Loki’s lead writer Michael Waldron says the Disney + series will have far-reaching consequences across the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Disney + Loki it will have major ramifications throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“That would be a crazy guess”, Loki Lead writer Michael Waldron said Total movie magazine about the idea of Loki Y Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Insanity have some kind of connection. “All of these stories, in their own way, are interconnected and have ramifications. I think certainly our goal with the Loki series was for it to have far-reaching ramifications throughout the MCU going forward. So, you know, was I having to clean up some of the messes I made? [with Loki]? It may be so.”

This is not the first time they connect Loki and the next Strange doctor the film has been the subject of ridicule. Marvel Studios President and Marvel Creative Director Kevin Feige previously said that Loki will be linked directly to the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Insanity. It’s also worth noting that Waldron was one of the writers for the next MCU movie.

As for how Loki could affect the broader MCU, Waldron recently said that what prompted him to do Loki I was creating a new domain in this franchise. “My presentation for the show was kind of a great, crazy, fun adventure back in time,” he explained. “The [Time Variance Authority] it’s just a whole new world [with] a new cast of characters, and that’s the most exciting thing about the show – building a new corner of the MCU. ”How TVA might influence future MCU installments remains to be seen.

Loki stars Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, and Richard E. Grant. The series premieres June 9 on Disney +.
