Suicide Squad: Rebirth # 1
The Suicide Squad will return to the big screen later this year, this time under the creative vision of James Gunn. If you’re looking to learn more about Task Force X before your next cinematic adventure, Suicide Squad: Rebirth # 1 is a good place to start. Published as part of the DC Rebirth initiative, this issue featured several of the main characters who starred in the 2016 Suicide Squad movie, including Amanda Waller, Rick Flag, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, and Captain Boomerang. Waller breaks Flag out of a jail cell to reassemble the Squad for an especially dangerous task, and in trouble to come, the Squad continues to grow, with characters like Killer Croc, Katana, and Enchantress springing into action as well.
