A trailer for the Netflix animated film America: The Motion Picture features Channing Tatum as an R-rated version of founding father George Washington.
Channing Tatum’s R-rated George Washington and the rest of the founding fathers come together in a trailer for Netflix’s America: The Motion Picture.
The trailer begins by reminding us that this animated film comes from “The Founding Fathers Who Brought You Goalkeeper, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the Expendables Y Magic mike.” The Magic mike The part comes into play when a scene of dancers spinning in neon clothing is quickly shown. Next, we are introduced to Tatum’s George Washington, who delivers the surprising statement: “I’m George Washington. We’re going to start a fucking revolution.”
The remainder of the trailer features a compilation of action sequences and more expletives, all while revealing the “completely true story of America’s origins.” First Look at America: The Motion Picture was released in April on the Netflix Summer Movie Preview video.
The synopsis of America: The Movie can be found below.
In this lively and wildly ironic revisionist tale, a chainsaw-wielding George Washington assembles a team of mob agitators, including Brother Sam Adams, famed scientist Thomas Edison, acclaimed horseman Paul Revere, and a very pissed-off Geronimo. to defeat Benedict Arnold and King James in the American Revolution. Who will win? No one knows, but you can be sure of one thing: these are not your father’s founders … uh, parents.
Directed by Matt Thompson, America: The film stars Channing Tatum, Jason Mantzoukas, Olivia Munn, Bobby Moynihan, Judy Greer, Will Forte, Raoul Max Trujillo and Killer Mike, with Simon Pegg and Andy Samberg. The movie hits Netflix on June 30.
