First image of Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell’s ‘Spirited’ features the couple in a close look

The two put a new spin on ‘A Christmas Carol’.

Charles dickenschristmas classic A Christmas Carol, is visited by the ghost of modern musical performances. Filming has begun for Apple Original Films’ Energetic Y Ryan reynolds has delivered a first look at the next movie. Collider previously reported that Reynolds would be playing a similar protagonist to Ebenezer Scrooge, opposite Will ferrell like a ghost of the Christmas present reimagined and now Reynolds has shared the first picture of the couple on the set of Energetic. In the tweet, Reynolds called Ferrell one of his “one of my comedy idols.”

Reynolds and Ferrell will be accompanied by Sunita Mani Like the ghost of Christmas past and Oscar winner Octavia spencer, who according to sources will be a co-worker of Reynolds’ Scrooge.

Energetic is run by Sean Anders, who wrote the film with his writing partner John morris. The couple partnered to write Dad’s house, Daddy’s House 2, Y Instant family. This is the first musical film the couple has written.

Christmas has come early in Boston, with the filming of Energetic ongoing in the Braintree area. Local reports have indicated that the production will use part of a shopping mall for filming. It wouldn’t feel like a modern Christmas movie without the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping at the mall.

Acting isn’t the only gift Reynolds brings to the table. It is also producing through its Maximum Effort banner with George dewey as executive producer. Ferrell, Jessica elbaum, Y David koplan they are producing through Gloria Sanchez Productions. As Collider previously reported, Apple beat Netflix, Paramount, and Warner Bros. for the movie. Reynolds and Ferrell are expected to earn a minimum of $ 30 million each, and producer fees are not included in that total. No release date has been set for the holiday movie.
