It is not the dating program we need, but it may be the one we deserve.
HBO Max has released the first official trailer and key art for their upcoming reality dating series. FBoy Island, hosted by comedian and actress Nikki glaser. The first three episodes of the ten-episode series will premiere on July 29 on the streaming service, followed by three additional episodes on August 5, through the final four episodes on August 12.
FBoy Island (which itself is a shortened version of a slang term that generally describes men who are notoriously averse to commitment) is, on the surface, exactly what it sounds like. This season’s top three contestants: Nakia renee, CJ Franco Y Sarah Emig – They will temporarily move to a tropical island where they will have the opportunity to meet 24 men. The twist is that half of the group consists of self-proclaimed “good guys” and the other half are “fboys” in disguise, but all will compete for the attention of the women and their hearts. The show labels itself a “social experiment that asks the age-old question: can FBoys really reform or do good guys always finish last?”
The show will debut its first three episodes later this month, followed by another three the following week, and the final episodes of the season the following week. Elan gale, brain behind Single franchise, partners with Sam dean (another reality TV fan behind classics like Love is blind Y 12 Christmas dates) and production company STXalternative to bring this new kind of dating reality show to the masses.
FBoy Island will be available to stream exclusively on HBO Max. The first three episodes will be available for viewing on July 29. Check out the trailer and poster for the show below:
