Loki’s writer Eric Martin debunks the theory that TVA agent Hunter B-15 is a variant of Loki, which began after a misguided tweet with the character.
Loki Writer Eric Martin debunked a theory that surfaced over the weekend, when Marvel Studios suggested that the Hunter B-15 character was actually a variant of Loki.
The theory arose when Marvel Studios published images of some characters from the Disney + series, calling them all ‘The Lokis’. Among them was TVA agent Hunter B-15, who recently defected on the series to join the Loki Variants in their search. Fans began to theorize that the series regular was heading for a reveal as a variant. Martin debunked this theory, however, replying to the tweet on his own Twitter account. “I don’t think these are all Lokis …” Martin said.
The original tweet has since been removed, but it originally featured images of Hunter B-15, Boastful Loki, and Alligator Loki. “Ladies and gentlemen … The Lokis. See them all in the fifth episode of Marvel Studios’ Loki, now broadcasting on [Disney+]”said the deleted tweet. Despite having appeared in Loki From the show’s first episode, viewers knew very little about the character’s past, other than the fact that she “looked happy” when Sylvie showed her some glimpses.
Martin is not the only member of Lokithe crew to comment on the tweet. Kate Herron, Lokidirector, previously tweeted about the bug. “I didn’t know this was [Hunter B15’s] past. Another twist! “He wrote, before tweeting a short follow-up:” Also in case [sic] It is not clear who I am [100 percent] kidding. “While some theorized that the indirect nature of Martin’s tweet meant he could be referring to another of the characters in the tweet, Herron’s response closes the theory forever.

With the nature of the series’ variants and the wide variety of Loki variants in particular, fans have been theorizing just how far the reach of the characters goes. Some have suggested that LokiThe main antagonist is actually a Loki Variant, possibly corroborated by a promo video for the series finale. Agent Mobius has even been theorized to be a variant of Loki, given his closeness to the character and the series’ discussions of self-love.
Loki stars Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Lexus Renslayer. While Hunter B-15 may not be a variant of Loki, the series finale on July 14 may reveal more about Loki’s range when it premieres Wednesday on Disney +.
