Loki’s writer debunks the theory that Hunter B-15 is a variant of Loki

Loki writer Eric Martin debunked the theory that Wunmi Mosaku’s Hunter B-15 was a variant of Loki after Marvel Studios accidentally tweeted that he was.

TO Loki The writer refuted the theory that Wunmi Mosaku’s Hunter B-15 is a variant of Loki. Marvel’s third Disney + streaming series has taken the God of Mischief and thrown him into some bizarre circumstances, from working with the Time Variation Authority to taking on Alioth in the End Times. Along the way, Tom Hiddleston’s fan-favorite character has met various versions of himself, including Kid Loki, Classic Loki, Boastful Loki, President Loki, and even Alligator Loki. He also met someone who finally made him realize what he had been looking for and at the end of episode 5 saw him pass beyond the Void with Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie AKA Lady Loki.

Yet of all these characters, one has become a standout even amidst the massive cast. Mosaku plays Hunter B-15, a TVA guard who was against bringing Loki on board to help them find Sylvie. However, eventually, B-15 shows up when he realizes that Sylvie and Loki may be onto something – all of the TVA workers are, in fact, Variants who were ripped out of their own lives to work for the shady organization. After B-15 helps Loki and Sylvie confront and subsequently reveal Time Keeper’s secret (they are all robots), she is back in the hands of Ravonna Renslayer and her future is unknown. However, over the weekend, Marvel apparently accidentally revealed a big secret. Marvel Studios Canada (via HarleyOdinson on Twitter) tweeted a series of images with the caption “Ladies and gentlemen … The Lokis. “These photos included one of Mosaku’s B-15s and this sparked a storm of speculation that the studio had screwed up a major revelation. Loki Writer Eric Martin took to Twitter to quickly debunk this theory, retweeting the original tweet (before it was removed) and saying: “I don’t think these are all Lokis …“See the interactions below:

Marvel rarely, if ever, makes mistakes like this, so his tweet listing B-15 among the Lokis immediately made many think that a major spoiler had been revealed. Obviously, that’s not the case and that fact could be resolved even before Martin confirmed it on Twitter. With the TVA so determined to capture the Loki variants, it wouldn’t make much sense to make one of them an agent. In addition, in Loki In episode 4, Sylvie showed B-15 her story before becoming a TVA guard.

If B-15 had been a variant of Loki, this would have been a key moment and Sylvie or B-15 would probably have brought up this reveal. Fortunately, there are plenty of other Loki variants in the series that more than make up for this accidental red herring. Richard Grant’s brave sacrifice in episode 5 as Classic Loki will be remembered by many and there may be more. While some wait Loki Episode 6 to reveal that Kang the Conqueror is behind TVA, it seems more than possible that some other variant of Loki may also be behind it all. The public will have to wait until Wednesday to find out.
