Following Kazuya’s release in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Masahiro Sakurai has doubled down on the idea that the next fighter will be the last.

Super Smash Bros. Director Masahiro Sakurai has redoubled his insistence that the next character to be revealed in the second fighter pass will be the last character to be added in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This statement was reinforced weeks after Kazuya’s recent release from Tekken on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

The character is revealed to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate they have at times been laced with controversy. Most infamously, Byleth caused quite a stir when he was revealed as the last fighter for the first Fighters Pass. But regardless of what the reception is for the last character, Sakurai has reaffirmed in the latest Famitsu column that there will only be one more character left to go. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. According to Source Gaming’s column translation, Sakurai said that “Here’s the end: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be complete. “Sakurai also talks about Kazuya and how he implemented a character from Tekken, a 3D fighting game, in the world of Super Smash Bros.

There is a wide variety of candidates that the latter Super Smash Bros. Ultimate character could be. There isn’t one that is particularly more likely than others, but some of the more popular requests include characters like Crash Bandicoot, Master Chief, Doomguy, and more. Unfortunately, the Mii suits from Kazuya’s release removed some of these requests on the Lloyd, Dragonborn, Dante, and Shantae suits. The final character could also be a Pokémon from Pokémon sword and shield, which could generate controversies similar to those of Byleth. Or maybe it could be the highly sought after Waluigi.

However, one fact that remains is that whoever the character is, he will not be able to please everyone, as there will always be characters that will appear as popular requests. There will always be a focus on what the characters didn’t go into as much as there will be a focus on the actual character. While unfortunate, this is likely to be the case for a character with as much pressure as the latter. The last character’s title is sure to have high expectations simply for being the last. All fans can hope for is that this latest character from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate It will be a crowd pleaser and will close out Nintendo’s massive title when it launches sometime in 2021.
