Right now, much of the rumors surrounding Spider-Man: No Way Home is about his trailer and when it will be released. With the Marvel-Sony movie slated to debut in December, fans are getting increasingly impatient to see its first footage. At the same time, recent toy posts have revealed new details about Spider-Man’s newest suit and the role of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch).
With so many people focused on Spider-Man: No Way Home In itself, not much attention has been paid to what will come next. For the moment, that’s still a big question mark even for the stars themselves. While talking to ME! about his new movie Space Jam: a new legacy, Zendaya mentioned that she’s not sure what the future holds for her within the Marvel universe. The actress was asked how it felt to come back for Spider man 3, and she said this:
It was fun. It was bittersweet. We do not know if we are going to do another, as if there were three and that’s it. Like you normally do three movies and that’s it, so I think we were all absorbing and taking the time to enjoy the moment of being together and being so thankful for that experience.
Holland’s contract ends with Spider-Man: No way home, although he has said over and over again that he would be happy to come back for more. As Zendaya pointed out, it has typically been standard Marvel practice for solo franchises to receive only three movies. However, next year Thor: love and thunder will break that mold, so there might still be room for a room Spiderman movie. At this point, having a Holland Spidey movie without Zendaya would be unthinkable, so hopefully they would bring her back. It could simply be that Marvel is being cautious about its future projects and taking its time to develop them, hence the stars are being left in the dark.
Should Spider-Man: No Way Home It will be the last Marvel outing for Zendaya, however it looks like it will be a great movie to come out. Despite Marvel’s best efforts to keep things under wraps, all signs so far point to a multi-universe adventure involving former Spider-Man actors like Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Alfred Molina. At this time, nothing has been confirmed, although Molina has already shed a bit about what is in store. If this has to be the end, it will be epic.
