Luke Skywalker’s appearance in the Obi-Wan series has yet to be confirmed, but there are ways the writers can add him to the Disney + series.
Possibly the next most anticipated Star Wars the project is Obi-Wan Kenobi, a six-part limited series that will follow the titular Jedi through and through his time in exile on Tatooine.
While Darth Vader, Uncle Owen, and Aunt Beru have been confirmed to appear alongside Kenobi in the series, the appearance of 10-year-old Luke Skywalker has yet to be announced. But given that Kenobi spent his time on Tatooine caring for Luke when he was a growing boy, it seems obvious that he will appear at some point. But how could writers incorporate it?
8 A brief cameo appearance
Since Luke Skywalker’s participation in the Obi Wan The series has not been directly confirmed, he may not have a full supporting role in the series. It could just be a cameo.
Later The mandalorian Y The bad lot, the last thing Disney + is growing Star Wars The Needs List is another childcare story. As a plot device that Lucasfilm keeps coming back to, the antiheroes who take care of children are becoming the franchise’s new Death Star.
7 A Luke Origin story
While the original trilogy established that Luke Skywalker was the quintessential Star Wars hero, the Obi-Wan Kenobi The series can delve even deeper into the character’s backstory. It could explain how he became the bright-eyed, personable budding hero fans met at the beginning of the original trilogy.
Luke’s early days being raised by his aunt and uncle and discovering the ways of the world could be used to contrast with the story of Obi-Wan, who sees a once-legendary Jedi in his prime and in hiding indefinitely.
6 Discovering the first signs of your sensitivity to force
Luke did not learn about the Force or his sensitivity to it until Obi-Wan gave him his father’s lightsaber in the original 1977. Star Wars film and accompanied it with a lecture on the energy field
But since Luke’s midichlor count is in the same record region as Anakin’s, he could have discovered signs of his Force sensitivity years before Obi-Wan explained his powers. Luke’s bow in Obi-Wan Kenobi could parallel that of his nine-year-old father in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.
5 Uncle Owen turns on Obi-Wan
Some time after Obi-Wan left Luke at the Lars’ moisture farm, Uncle Owen turned on him. In the original 1977 film, he dissuades Luke from dating Obi-Wan and fires him. But it’s unclear what turned Owen against Obi-Wan and why he wants to keep Luke away from him.
Owen most likely blamed Obi-Wan for Anakin’s downfall (even though that had been foreshadowed in the other Star Wars movies many times) and was concerned that Luke might go the same way. However, if that’s the case, it needs to be explored in depth.
4 Bullseyeing womp rats on his t-16
During the planning of the Death Star assault, when a rogue pilot believes that it is impossible to fire a torpedo into a six-foot air duct, Luke intervenes: “It is not impossible. I used to shoot womp rats on my T-16 at home, they aren’t much bigger than six feet. “
If attacking womp rats with a T-16 was one of Luke’s hobbies during his childhood on Tatooine, then it could be depicted in the Obi-Wan Kenobi Serie.
3 Representing what happens on a moisture farm
Before Luke became one of the most powerful Jedi Padawans in Star Wars, Luke was working on his uncles’ moisture farm. He was desperate to leave his farmer behind and join the Rebellion, suggesting that he had been cultivating moisture for years.
But how exactly is moisture grown? As long as Owen and Beru Lars are going to play an important role in Obi-Wan Kenobi, the show can represent what happens in a humidity farm and how the droids play in it.
two Going down to Tosche station to pick up some power converters
There were a ton of deleted scenes from the original film that explore Luke’s personal life with his friends in the surrounding cities. When he reconnects with his friend at the Rebel base on Yavin IV, he was supposed to pay for one of these earlier scenes.
On Obi-Wan KenobiLuke could be seen hanging out with his friends in a nearby town, showing fans what kids do for fun on the vast, arid wastelands of Tatooine. Finally he was able to go down to the Tosche station to buy some energy converters.
1 Narrating the story of the future
This is extremely unlikely, but it could be an interesting way to frame the narrative of Obi-Wan Kenobi if an older and wiser Luke Skywalker narrates the story to the students of his Jedi academy, possibly even including a Ben Solo from the pre-dark side.
It could tell the story of a Jedi in exile during a time when ruthless oppressors hoped to wipe out the last remaining remnants of the Jedi Order as a warning about the dangers of anti-Jedi rhetoric. It would be a heartbreaking irony if another Jedi purge is just around the corner.
