The cover and request for Miles Morales: Spider-Man # 31 features a Marvel Studios Black Widow villain as the couple’s third wheel.
One of the central villains of Marvel Studios’ Black Widow has his sights set on ruining a date night between Miles Morales and Starling.
CBR has an exclusive look at the cover and request for Miles Morales: Spider-Man # 31 by writer Saladin Ahmed and artist Christopher Allen. The cover of Taurin Clarke features Miles Morales in his new costume (designed by Chase Conley), preparing for a lip kiss with Starling, who is the granddaughter of Spider-Man villain Vulture. However, the lower part of the cover shows Taskmaster aiming his bow and arrow with the two lovebirds directly in his sights.
The new suit will make its debut in the previous issue, Miles Morales: Spider-Man # 30, which serves as Miles Morales’ 10th anniversary issue. “A Who’s Who of Miles Morales Spider-Creators” will gather to tell their stories, including the creative minds behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and its co-creator, Sara Pichelli.
Starling made her debut in 2019 Miles Morales: Spider-Man # 5, encountering the young cobweb thrower during a confrontation with some of Tombstone’s henchmen. Although she’s related to an infamous member of Peter Parker’s rogues gallery, that won’t stop Miles from asking her out on a suitable date. For now, it is a mystery why Taskmaster has taken an interest in the pair. He could be targeting Miles, or he might have been hired to give Starling a hit.
