Three new faces, including Netflix alum Paulina Chávez, will join returning stars Abigail Cowen and Rob James Collier for Winx Saga season 2.
Netflix series Destination: the Winx Saga, based on the Italian animated series Winx Club, has announced some new additions for its second season.
Along with a promotional video on Netflix UK and Ireland on YouTube, three new cast members will join the returning stars of season 1. The new faces are Irish actress Éanna Hardwicke (Normal people) as Sebastián, Netflix alum Paulina Chávez (Ashley García: Genius in Love) playing the fan favorite Flora and newcomer Brandon Grace, who will play Gray.
The returning cast, seen in masks and gathering for a table that reads in the clip, includes series star Abigail Cowen as Bloom, Hannah van der Westhuysen as Stella, Precious Mustapha as Aisha, Eliot Salt as Terra, Elisha Applebaum as Musa, Sadie Soverall as Beatrix, Freddie Thorp as Riven, Danny Griffin as Sky, Theo Graham as Dane, Jacob Dudman as Sam, Ken Duken as Andreas, and Rob James Collier as Silva.
Brian Young will return as showrunner and executive producer. Netflix has also increased the run of episodes from six to eight for the second season. The release date is still pending as production is just beginning.
Following the adventures of a group of five fairies attending a magical boarding school called Alfea in a place called Another World, the first season saw the characters hone their different powers while working on relationships and fighting fantastic creatures. Originally created by Iginio Straffi, the series now has a global audience of millions and has even spawned a young adult novel.
The first season of Destiny: The Winx Saga is now streaming on Netflix.
