X-Men fans can now have the saddest Wolverine ever captured on film, not from Logan, But, from where X-Men: The Animated Series. Mondo just announced an exclusive San Diego Comic-Con figure, recreating the classic scene of Logan lying in bed (in full suit, naturally), pining for Jean Gray.

The new 1/6 figure, which will sell for $ 200, includes interchangeable heads, retracted and extended claws, and a framed photo of Cyclops and Jean Gray for Logan to look at with nostalgia. It also includes some more action-oriented elements, including an arcing lightning claw energy effect and of course a turkey leg. The figure was designed by the creative directors of toys and collectibles at Mondo, Mike bonanno Y Hector Arce, and was sculpted by Acre and Tufan sezer. Acre handled the screen-accurate paint design, complete with hair on the arms and black lines that define the muscles.

It’s a ridiculous but memorable moment in a series that Bonanno and Acre know well. “Of course you have to launch the series with Wolverine, but we felt it would be even more fun to recreate this specific scene turned into a meme,” they said in a joint statement. “Creating this diorama for our SDCC at Home Limited Edition was truly the most fun we’ve had here at Mondo Toys and Collectibles and we couldn’t be happier with the result.”

That hint of a series of figures is not accidental, as they both clearly love the show, and comment on a detail that no fan could forget:

I think we all remember the first day we saw the first episode of X-Men the Animated Series … sitting in bed or on our couches, excited and then … THAT song plays … little minds flew everywhere! That intro song got us hooked from the start and kept us coming back every Saturday for months and months excited to see what happened with Wolverine and the X-Men.

This is the first figure of X-Men: The Animated Series from Mondo, but it clearly won’t be the last. “We are very proud to present the first 1 / 6th scale figure in a series that has captured our imaginations since our youth,” added Bonanno and Héctor Acre. “The main theme is still etched in our heads, years later.”

All episodes of X-Men: The Animated Series they’re streaming on Disney + now. The 1/6 Wolverine Figure – Limited Edition SDCC Variant is available to pre-order at MondoShop.com. See more pictures from the figure below.
