The first footage of the upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen 0 prequel shows the link between the film’s protagonist and the curse that haunts him.

The first footage of the next Jujutsu Kaisen 0 A prequel movie has been released.

The new trailer was revealed today following a countdown timer that appeared on the film’s official website. The new footage shows the protagonist of the prequel film, Yuta, along with the spirit that protects him, Rika. The highly anticipated film is scheduled to premiere on December 24 and is being produced by the MAPPA studio, who also animated the first season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime, as well as other series like Attack on Titan and the upcoming anime adaptation of Chainsaw man.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is the story of Yuta Okkotsu, a young man who is haunted by the spirit of a young woman he once had a crush on, Rika. Unfortunately for the young couple, Rika’s spirit has turned into a curse, a malevolent spirit that feeds on the negative emotions of humanity. While Rika originally wanted to protect Yuta, her spirit has now turned into a malicious beast that hurts anyone who gets close to it. Not wanting to see anyone else get hurt, Yuta exiles himself until he is taken to Jujutsu High, where he learns how to control Rika’s power and uses it to combat other dangerous Curses. While this prequel does not include Jujutsu Kaisen the protagonist Yuji Itadori, many other popular characters from the main series, such as Satoru Gojo and Toge Inumaki, appear in the story.

Season 2 of the Jujutsu Kaisen The anime is also currently in production, but does not have a scheduled release date. The manga will resume publication in August, after a two-month hiatus that was started by concerns about the health of the series creator, Gege Akutami.
