James Gunn posted a new behind-the-scenes image from The Suicide Squad showing Task Force X undercover on their mission to Corto Maltese.
Director James Gunn has shared a new behind-the-scenes photo of Suicide squad, showing Task Force X undercover. Shortly after his controversial departure from Marvel in 2018, Warner Bros. Superman and several other DC projects, but the director ultimately decided to create his version of Suicide Squad. On twitter, Gunn released the latest behind-the-scenes information on Suicide squad, which is a picture of Daniela Melchoir’s Ratcatcher 2, David Dastmalchian’s Polka-Dot Man, John Cena’s Peacemaker, Idris Elba’s Bloodsport, and Joel Kinnaman’s returning Rick Flag, all dressed in normal clothing as is. “Undercover in La Gatita Amable.” As well as showing a different side of the cast, without their superhero / supervillain gear, Gunn captioned the image with a line likely in reference to the mindsets of his characters during this scene. The image is a great candid shot of the cast, as they are probably preparing for a shot, with Melchior notably posing for the camera while holding star-shaped glasses. It’s also an image that not only gives a small glimpse into the film’s creation process, but also an image that shows fans the kinds of things Task Force X will have to do to accomplish its mission. Interestingly, Gunn posted a behind-the-scenes video of Cena from the same scene, showing the wrestler-turned-actor sweating to provide a realistic depiction of the characters having to gut themselves on the hot island Corto Maltese. Both are, however, funny looks Suicide squad that only increase the excitement of the fans for the film as a whole.
Luckily for Gunn and co, the film is also receiving rave reviews for its well-developed characters, over-the-top tone, and murderous killings, and is also certified new on Rotten Tomatoes. How well the film performs remains to be seen, but all signs point to a successful exit for Warner Bros., and with Gunn’s.
