Amazon just released the official trailer and poster of Cinderella, starring Camila Cabello in the title role. This remake of the classic tale is a musical that takes place today, where Cinderella lives with her abusive and overprotective stepmother and stepsisters. The film will premiere on September 3, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

The trailer shows a vibrant setting with fabulous outfits for all aspects, surely poised to win awards, or at least nominations. The wardrobe definitely stands out and it won’t be surprising if fans tune in only to fashion. As the trailer reveals, Ella de Cabello harbors long-standing dreams of opening her own clothing store. It seems to be an entertaining trip and with so many iterations of the Cinderella tale, makes one wonder what will make it different from everyone else, but this version seems to be self-referential enough to stand out from the rest of the pack when it comes to adaptations, poking fun at how often characters come out in a song. and highlighting the fact that Ella refuses to simply be a princess on someone’s arm.
