Maybe we haven’t seen the latest from Silver Shamrock, like a Halloween III: Return of the Witch The sequel is “possible,” says series producer Malek Akkad. In recent years, Hallowe’en The franchise has seen a resurgence in popularity after the release of director David Gordon Green’s new film in 2018. It was the first in a planned trilogy destined to conclude the Michael Myers vs. Laurie Strode saga with the second installment. Halloween deaths, launching this week. The plan from there is to do Halloween ends, and nothing is set in stone right now as to where to take Hallowe’en from there.
We recently spoke with Halloween deaths director David Gordon Green and producer Malek Akkad about what will come next in the franchise. When Green was asked if we would get an answer from some of Michael Myers’ supernatural elements. Green clearly said that we are not, since “the mystery is what scares him.” When asked directly if Silver Shamrock would be tied to Michael’s backstory in the next film, this is what the director had to say.
“No Silver Shamrock, yeah. It would be fun though. It’s a good idea for the next wave.”
For those who don’t know, Silver Shamrock is a reference to Halloween III: Season of the Witch. The movie is infamous because it doesn’t bring Michael Myers back as an antagonist, but instead features the evil company Silver Shamrock, who plans to murder millions of children on Halloween night wearing supernatural masks. Tom Atkins plays the lead, Dr. Dan Challis, in one of the horror legend’s most memorable roles. While the film was controversial at the time, it has since developed a large cult following among horror fans.
The sequels to Legacy have become considerably popular in recent years, with Hallowe’en serving as one of the most successful of them all. Has led us to wonder what inherited sequel Halloween III would be like. For one thing, he would finally give us an answer as to what actually happened at the end of the movie, a mystery that has yet to be solved. We asked producer Malek Akkad if a legacy sequel with the return of Tom Atkins as Dr. Challis is possible, and this is what he had to say in response.
“What I can tell you is that I think thousands of things have been considered, so when you mention that … My approach right now, you know, has been a difficult production. It’s never been that long since something was done. , and we’re all trying to come together and focus on this, and then we go to the next one (Halloween deaths). And I think everyone’s energy is really – because we believe in this one, because the last one went so well, we really want to unite the troops and finish the third. “
With all that said, this is what Akkad has to say specifically about the possibility of making a Halloween III inherited sequel with Tom atkins.
“To that question directly, I’d say anything is possible. I know it’s a bit of a vague answer, maybe. But that’s literally all I have. Anything is possible and we’ll try to address that, and, you know, watch when it shows up.” .
That’s certainly no guarantee, but leaving the door open will have to be enough for now. You can see Halloween deaths when it opens in theaters and at Peacock on October 15.
