‘New York Ninja’ trailer reveals 1984 abandoned camp classic

New York Ninja, the forgotten movie you didn’t know you should see until now, is ready for you to watch. Originally left for dead and abandoned in 1984, this lost action film has been restored in all 4K glory and finally received its world premiere at Beyond Fest 2021. What is it? New York Ninja what you ask about? Well, let me explain after you see this crazy trailer.

New York Ninja stars and focus on John (John Liu), who is just an average man who works as a sound technician for a New York City news station. In trying to make it big in the big city, John hopes to enjoy his family life. Nothing special, just one of the millions of New Yorkers traversing the Big Apple. That is until one day, his pregnant wife is brutally murdered after witnessing the kidnapping of a young girl in broad daylight. Nothing like punching you in the face with a gruesome story. When turning to the police for help, John soon learns that the city is overrun with crime and that the police are too busy to help.

What is John doing now? He does what any grieving husband would do and becomes a hero of the city. Dressed as a white ninja, John takes to the streets as a sword-wielding vigilante whose only mission is to clean up the streets he once loved. How do you ask? Well, getting rid of muggers, pickpockets, rapists, drug dealers and gang members. It is not an easy task for a man, but he is a ninja after all.

However, with great power comes great responsibility (I heard that somewhere before) and on his mission, John becomes the number one target of all the criminals in town. A particularly mysterious villain known only as the Plutonium Killer has his own mission … Kill John aka The New York Ninja!
