Netflix is doubling down on “Tiger King” with a new batch of episodes, dubbed “Tiger King: The Doc Antle Story,” which premieres next Friday, December 10.

The three episodes were split into their own (mini) series with a new title due to a “change in tone” from “Tiger King 2,” a person with knowledge of the decision told TheWrap.

This one is packed with “shocking” accounts of the Doc Antle story that were discovered by the directors while filming “Tiger King 2,” the individual said. “Tiger King 2,” a continuation of the hit early pandemic documentary series “Tiger King,” premiered on November 17, along with an aftershow of “Tiger King” hosted by Joel McHale.

You’ll see what they mean in the trailer, which readers can see through the video above.

And if that somehow doesn’t do it for you, here’s the logline: “Showman or con man? The shocking truth behind Doc Antle’s eccentric and animal-loving facade finally emerges in these three episodes chronicling his abuse of power of a lifetime. “

A longtime showman, Doc Antle has built his various careers on theatricality, attracting a slew of admirers along the way, reads the spin-off’s longest synopsis. But beneath the eccentric and animal-loving facade lies a far more dangerous predator than his beloved big cats and a man more somber than any of his “King Tiger” counterparts.

(That includes Joe Exotic, who is currently serving a long prison sentence for hiring a hit man to kill his rival Carole Baskin. That’s pretty shady.)

Over three episodes, “Tiger King: The Doc Antle Story” reveals the truth about Doc, as witnesses come forward to share his disturbing stories of abuse and intimidation that put him at the top of the food chain, continues .
