Since we haven’t stopped talking about Bruno for days, what had to happen has happened. ‘Let it Go’ was only the beginning. ‘No Se Habla de Bruno’, the song composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda for ‘Encanto’, has reached number 1 on Billboard’s Top 100 hits list. It beats Adele’s ‘Easy on Me’, for which the soundtrack of the Disney movie is spoiling the party quite a bit.

The studio hadn’t put a song on top of Billboard since ‘An Ideal World’ from ‘Aladdin’ in 1993.. ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’ is Lin-Manuel Miranda’s first #1 as a songwriter, and also the first #1 for all cast members singing on the track. In fact, the song has broken the record for number 1 with the most credited artists (7), taking the title from ‘I’m the One’ by DJ Khaled, Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper and Lil Wayne (5 ).

The film’s soundtrack keeps hitting it, not just ‘Bruno is not spoken of’. ‘In the depth/Peso’, Luisa’s song, also sneaks into the top ten positions, specifically in number 9. The rest of the songs on the album reach positions 20, 27, 36, 48 and 82.

The choreography of ‘Don’t talk about Bruno’

Recently Disney has celebrated the success of ‘No one talks about Bruno’ by launching a video in which we can see how the dancers rehearse the choreography for the entire number, created by Jamal Simms. The film’s team told us weeks before its premiere that for ‘Encanto’ they decided to have choreographers and dancers from the earliest stages of creation so that the artists could animate the dance steps and details such as the ruffles of the skirts in the manner as realistic as possible. They also thought about details such as Mirabel being somewhat clumsy when moving and her cousin Dolores being agile and sinuous like a cat.
