New images from the set of the upcoming Batgirl movie appear to show Batman in a suit similar to the one used in Tim Burton’s 1989 film.
30 years after starring batman returns, Michael Keaton to the DC Comics Cinematic Universe as Batman. The actor will reprise the role for the first time in Flash, and Andy Muschietti’s film is expected to establish his version of Bruce Wayne as a prominent presence in the DCEU going forward. Keaton will also appear in the film batgirl on HBO Max, starring Leslie Grace.
Unlike her role in Barry Allen’s solo adventure, not much has been revealed about her involvement in Batgirl. Earlier this year, an image from the movie’s set surfaced online, featuring a mural of what looked like Michael Keaton’s caped crusader alongside (an unidentified) Robin. He had fans wondering if the actor would suit up as the Dark Knight again in this movie, or if he would play a mentor role for Barbara Gordon, similar to how he was portrayed in the TV series. batman of the future.
The nature of Keaton’s role in the film is still unclear, but it looks like the actor will once again don the caped crusader costume. The images are blurry, so it’s hard to make out significant details, but the suit looks like the one Michael Keaton wore in Tim Burton’s 1989 movie. It’s worth mentioning that Keaton may not necessarily be the person wearing the suit. in that scene, as he could be a stunt double.
It’s hard to tell if this is a scene with Batman still active or just a flashback. Of course, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that the Dark Knight is still fighting crime. After all, there have been versions of the character who have continued their superhero crusades well into old age.
Michael Keaton isn’t the only actor returning to his DC role for Batgirl. He will be joined by JK Simmons, who will reprise his role as Gotham City Police Commissioner Jim Gordon and father of Barbara Gordon. This will be the second time that the actor plays the character after his appearance in the League of Justice.
Batgirl doesn’t have a release date yet, but it’s expected to hit HBO Max sometime in 2022.
