Director Shawn Levy reveals that the Free Guy 2 movie will exist with Ryan Reynolds back as the lead.
As the first installment exceeded 331 million dollars at the box office with a budget of 125 million, it is normal that they are already thinking about FreeGuy 2. Although the director shawn levy and the actor Ryan Reynolds they are very clear about the conditions they need for this to become a reality.
In a recent interview, shawn levy revealed that: “I have definitely received that phone call. I don’t know how to quantify how much, but that exact phone call you just paraphrased is basically a call. I’ve gotten a few of those in the last few months. So there’s definitely real interest there. But to the point that Ryan Reynolds and I, we knew. We had a very clear idea of the tone, the story, the details of Free Guy, and we’ve both done a few sequels in our lives, so we know how hard it is to make a worthwhile one. And when we feel confident that that’s the kind of thing we’re going to do, then we’re going to do it.”
“We love Free Guy. We were thrilled that Free Guy was as successful as it was, and particularly as an original movie at a time when few are made and even fewer are hits. So that was gratifying. And if we can figure out that sequel, that’s something that could be a lot of fun to do together.”
The story could have an interesting sequel.
For now, they do not know what the plot of FreeGuy 2but now there is the game free-lifewhere Guy (Ryan Reynolds) it can live on its own in constant evolution.
