“Listen to science.” This is the strong motto that dozens of scientists, researchers and academics Spaniards have planted this Wednesday in front of the Congress of Deputies in the first world scientific strike in protest against the climate crisis. During the concentration, organized by the platform of scientists and activists ‘Scientist Rebellion’, the experts have also exposed the pages of the latest reports of the Intergovernmental Panel of Experts on Climate Change (IPCC) to claim, once again, apply urgent measures to stop the climate catastrophe.
During the act of “civil disobedience” this Wednesday, scientists and activists have thrown red paint balloons in front of the entrance of the Congress to denounce the “political inaction” in the face of the advance of the climatic catastrophe. The same gesture too starred in yesterday’s protestwhen renowned scientific professionals demonstrated in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of Education to demand, among others, a subject on climate crisis across the entire education system.
