Who will be the great villain of Marvel after Thanos? The study speaks for the first time about the heir to the Infinity Gauntlet.
The screenwriter of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, michael waldronrecently spoke with Murphy’s Multiverse. He addressed the question of who would be the great enemy of the MCU Phase 4. That is, who was going to be the heir of Thanos in the movies of Marvel Studios.
Michael Waldron remembered how Thanos was that threat when Marvel Studios made their first cosmic voyages a decade ago. Now, there is a multiversal threat in the form of Kang the Conqueror and there is also the issue of raids. These will be the great challenges of the new heroes.
“That’s where the threat lies,” warned the screenwriter of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. “She is out there. There’s a multiversal threat, in the same way that there was a threat at Marvel Studios when it got more cosmic a few years ago. So, there was the threat of Thanos. Now we’re setting up some multiversal threats on the game board. Whether it’s Kang the Conqueror, the raids, or whatever. It will be interesting to see how all those pieces come together.”
Who will be the great threat of the MCU now?
We believe that Michael Waldron is correct. Most likely, the great villain of Marvel Studios after Thanos is going to be Kang the Conqueror. But not only the enemy characterized by Jonathan Majorsbut also the question of the incursions that have advanced in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Everything is heading towards an adaptation of Secret Wars; more specifically, the modern ones, those of Jonathan Hickman. There will be a multiversal collapse soon and perhaps from that same collapse they will end up entering the X Men Y fantastic four at the MCU. We’ll see what ends up happening, but the Multiverse theme is definitely the studio’s short-term future.
