Ukrainian representatives reported a “all communications crash” in the southern region of Kherson, which is occupied by Russia.
In a statement, the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine reported that there had been an unspecified intrusion “by the occupation regime” and that the equipment had been turned off and the cables disconnected.
“Residents of the region are currently no mobile communication or internet accessas well as no means to make domestic and international phone calls using landline devices,” the agency said.
Few details were immediately available.
On March 1 of this year Ukraine reported that Russia had launched an assault on the city of Kherson, a day later the Asian-European country assured that its troops took full control of the region.
On April 28, Ukrainian authorities denounced that 35 of the 49 heads of administration of the Kherson region were kidnapped by the Armed Forces of Russia since the start of the war.
