In an audio released on their social networks this May 31, the national leader of the PRI, Alejandro ‘Alito’ Morenoexhibited a phone call with a subject he identified as Senator Manuel Velascowho, according to what is heard in the communication, served as a messenger of pressure by Morena against the PRI.
“That if you didn’t jalabas they were going to go with everything”, is heard to say the interlocutor of ‘Alito’ Moreno. According to reports, the threat came in the context of the discussion of the energy reform promoted by the Government of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, which did not achieve the necessary qualified majority due to the votes against the opposition.
“Less like that, with threats and shit, well less. And well, if they are going to come with everything, then let them come with everything, I have no issue”, Moreno is heard saying.
According to the information revealed by the person identified as Velasco, the message that was given to Moreno came from the Presidency itself to the Secretary of the Interior, Adán Augusto Lópezwhom politicians refer to as “the two”, “friend” and “brother”.
In the call, Velasco is heard saying that he only wants to help and asks Moreno to point out that he received the message.
At the end of the audio, the PRI leader is heard saying that the call was recorded for security. “I don’t care if they want to put me in jail inventing things,” says Alejandro Moreno.
The dissemination of this audio comes after the governor of Campeche, Layda Sansoreswill reveal at least five audios of the PRI leader, among them where Moreno is heard complaining about alleged resources given by the Cinépolis company to the campaigns and another where he affirms that journalists should not be shot to death, but rather starved.
