Johnny Depp is taking full advantage of the new life stage in which he has embarked after winning the defamation trial against Amber Heard. The actor has announced a new project, in this musical case, which he will share with Jeff Beckwith whom he performed in Sheffield, England, a few days before the verdict of the trial was known.
guitarist and actor will release a joint album titled ’18’ on July 15, composed of versions by artists such as the Beach Boys, Marvin Gaye, Janis Ian, John Lennon or The Velvet Underground. The album will also include two previously unreleased songs composed by Johnny Depp: ‘Sad Motherfuckin’ Parade’ and ‘This Is a Song for Hedy Lamarr’.
This last, dedicated to the Austrian actress and inventor Hedy Lamarr, has already been released on Jeff Beck’s YouTube profile. The rather melancholy theme was already presented by Depp and Beck live in 2019, the year they started working on the album.

In addition to the album and the song, the duo has announced that Johnny Depp will return to the stage with Beck in the next concerts of his European tour, which will end on July 25 in Paris. ’18’ will also be out on vinyl on September 30.
