Mexican tourist arrested in Spain for speeding;  he covered the plate so as not to be identified

Agents of the Civil Guard of the Spanish town of Soria, in the community of Castilla y León, arrested a Mexican who was on vacation in Spain, with a rented vehicle, for the alleged crime of document falsification of registration plates.

The events took place on July 8, when the Mexican tourist was traveling on the A-15 highway towards Madrid, when fue detected by the radar with excess speed, according to the reports that sources from the Government Subdelegation gave to the agency Europe Press.

When reviewing the photograph obtained by the cinemometer, the agents were able to verify that one of the digits of the number series of the rear license plate was hidden, so they proceeded to arrest him.

The Civil Guard verified that on the front license plate there was also hidden with a piece of paper the same digit as in the back to elude traffic surveillance systems, for which they proceeded to arrest him as the perpetrator of the aforementioned crime.

The person was consigned before the Court of First Instance and Instruction Number 1 of Almazán. The crime described can carry a prison sentence of six months to three years.
