The former DEA agent who collaborated in “Operation Legend”, Héctor Berrellez, maintains that there are four witnesses who link the former Secretary of the Interior in 1985 and current head of the CFE, Manuel Bartlett Díaz, with the kidnapping and murder of the agent of the DEA, Enrique Camarena. In this context, he considers that the extradition of capo Rafael Caro Quintero to the United States would expose an alleged CIA pact with Bartlett and the drug trafficker to finance “La Contra” in Nicaragua, that is, the struggle of the militias that fought to the Sandinista government.
