The page that tracks reports on deficiencies in internet services or applications, Down Detector, collected nearly 1,500 reports of failures in BBVA. 80% of the total complained about the mobile banking service.
On the other hand, a Twitter user shared photos of a couple of ATMs that were throwing messages like: “At the moment your operation cannot be processed.”
Although the failures in the BBVA services were reported around 9:00 p.m., a user assured that “all day” tried to make transfers and the application did not respond.
When trying to make movements within the application, it threw legends such as: “Sorry, the BBVA service is temporarily inactive. Please try again later”, or “operation not performed”.
At around 9:30 p.m., BBVA shared a message on its social networks stating that was already working to restore its services “as soon as possible”They also apologized to their users for the inconvenience caused.
