After several days in a coma, Actress Anne Heche has died at the age of 53 after her family considered it necessary to stop maintaining life support that kept her alive. On August 6, we learned via CNN that Heche had suffered a car accident in the Mar Vista area. Both the blue Mini Cooper she was driving and the house she crashed into were destroyed, while the actress had to be intubated ever since due to the severe burns she had sustained.
Days after the accident, we learned from her representative that Heche was in a coma and, in fact, in a “extremely critical”. Unfortunately, due to her accident, Anne Heche suffered a severe anoxic brain injury and remains in a coma, in critical condition. It is not expected to survive. She has long since decided to donate her organs and is being kept on life support to determine if any are viable.. Anne had a big heart and touched everyone she met with her generous spirit. More than her extraordinary talent, she considered spreading kindness and joy to be her life’s work, especially to drive change in the acceptance of those who love you. She will be remembered for her fearless honesty and missed for her light”.
Very soon after, Nancy Davis, a friend of Heche he said goodbye of the actress assuring that now heaven “has a new angel”. “My loving, kind, funny, endearing and precious friend Anne Heche has gone to heaven. I’m going to miss her terribly as I keep the precious memories we’ve shared. Anne was always the kindest and most caring person, she brought out the best in me. My heart is broken”.
