A mass shooting left at least 11 people killed in Montenegro this Friday, reported a local prosecutor, who added that the alleged aggressor also died.
Prosecutor Andrijana Nastic told the news portal Vijesti that nine people were found dead at the scene in the town of Cetinje, while two later died in hospital.
Between the fatal victims are two children.
He added that other six people are being treated in hospital.
The images of Vijesti they showed ambulances and forensic workers arriving at the scene and emergency service workers talking to people in nearby buildings.
According to the director of the Montenegrin police, Zoran Brdjanin, the 34-year-old subject fired a hunting rifle at his tenantsamong which were those under 8 and 11 years of age.
Later he shot at the residents of the area, he killed seven more people and wounded six.
“Today, around 3:30 p.m. (1:30 p.m. GMT), a 34-year-old man from the city of Cetinje shot at a family whose members lived in his house as tenants, in the Medovina neighborhood. He used a hunting rifle, killed two children aged 8 and 11 respectively, as well as his mother, who died in hospital from her injuries.
“Later he began to shoot at the residents of the neighborhood and killed seven more people and wounded six. Police officers attended the scene after the call of the citizens. In the exchange of shots, a police officer sustained life-threatening injuries, ”said the police chief.
