They send to the United States a black box from a helicopter that fell after the capture of Caro Quintero

The Secretary of the Navy informed that it will send to the United States the black box of the helicopter that collapsed after participating in the capture operation of Rafael Caro Quintero.

In a statement, the federal agency assured that it continues to provide information to the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) for the criminal investigation, in case responsibilities are determined.

The information from the black box of the aforementioned aircraft has already been analyzed by its manufacturer and tomorrow it will be sent to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) in the United States, in order to analyze the last minutes of recording.

Once the results are obtained, they will be made available to the corresponding Mexican authority, to continue with the investigation process, the Navy reported.

The mishap occurred on July 15 in Los Mochis, Sinaloa. A Blackhawk helicopter collapsed in Sinaloa, after participating in the capture operation of Caro Quintero, the historical leader of drug traffickers in Mexico.

The balance of the accident is 14 dead soldiers and one seriously injured.

Rear Admiral José Orozco Tocaven, head of the Communication Unit of the Mexican Navy, gave details of the operation and the accident during an interview on Aristegui live.
