They detect irregularities in the ISSSTE;  CEO announces sanctions


The Dr. Pedro Zenteno Santaellageneral director of the Institute of Security and Social Services for State Workers (ISSSTE)reported that actions and omissions were detected in the services offered by the institute in the state of San Luis Potosí.

In response to the irregularities, Zenteno Santaella pointed out that he has already instructed finance administrative and legal responsibilities that correspond.

“Since the supervisory tours of the country began, I have commented that the main purpose is to rescue the Issste, give better attention to entitlement, have the right supplies, among other situations,” he said in an information card published on August 12.

He explained that through the visits, omissions aimed at affecting the institute were detected, either in terms of assets or reducing the services offered to the beneficiary population.

In the case of San Luis Potosí, the following was detected:

  • Medication dispensing through duly formalized recipeswhich is not provided to the patient for whom care is reported.
  • Medical personnel who take patients to their personal offices to perform care circumventing institutional protocols.
  • medical prescriptions with forged signatures and even prescribed for deceased successors.
  • Theft of high-cost drugs and, especially, oncology drugs.
  • Verbal complaints for despotism, mistreatment, poor care and poor care.
  • Some of the personnel have an excessive number of medical licenses, vacation periods outside the law, prolonged breaks in the workday, non-compliance, among others.
