Vivian Gornick will give the inaugural conference of FILUNI at UNAM

Within the framework of the fourth edition of the International Book Fair of the University Students of the UNAM (FILUNI), the American writer Vivian Gornick will participate in the inaugural conference “Writings in the post-pandemic”, this will be on August 30 at 12:00 p.m. at the UNAM Exhibition and Congress Center.

She is an American feminist reporter, writer, and activist from the so-called second wave feminism in the United States of America. She was a reporter for the Village Voice from 1969 to 1977, a period in which she founded the New York Radical Feminists group together with Shulamith Firestone and Anne Koedt.

In its 2022 edition, FILUNI will have the participation and sale of books from other universities in 17 countries such as Argentina, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Spain, United States, France, United Kingdom and Singapore, among others.
