Federal and capital authorities found three clandestine intakes connected to the pipelines of a Petróleos Mexicanos storage terminal, in the Iztacalco mayor’s office.
A warehouse was also located where the connection that dumped the stolen fuel was located.
The events were recorded on Añil Street, in the Granjas neighborhood, where the Pemex Storage and Distribution Terminal is located.
The Civil Protection authorities evacuated 12 neighboring properties to rule out any risk during the disconnection work, but affirmed that there is no danger because the intakes were hermetically sealed.
Federal authorities took control of the area and are working to cancel the theft of hydrocarbons.
