Zoey 101's "Nicole" protests outside Nickelodeon headquarters: "Let's not protect predators"


Former Nickelodeon actress Alexa Nikolasprotested in front to the company headquarters with signs that read “Nickelodeon didn’t protect me,” accusing the company of covering up for child molesters.

In social networks, the actress who played the fashionista Nicole, promoted a protest scheduled for this Thursday outside the studios of the children’s television channel.

Accompanied by a group of people, alexa nikolas spoke out against child and youth abuse promoted by the company where he worked Dan Schneiderone of the producers and creators of shows like iCarly, Zoey 101 Y Drake and Josh.

With posters that painted “Nickelodeon didn’t protect me” and “Sickelodeon” (Nickelodeon sick), the actress met “Eat Predators”, a community of survivors of sexual abuse within the entertainment industry.

The protest lasted around two hours and on her social networks the 30-year-old activist shared photos, live videos and material of what happened during the demonstration.

“I’m crying. Thank you all for the love and support. The survivors are watching and listening. This kind of support and love is creating a major change. I’ll never forget this day. Today was profoundly healing. My inner child felt empowered. Thanks for listening,” Alexa wrote on her Instagram.

On more than one occasion, Dan Scheneider has been singled out for allegedly attacking minors. As recently as early August, former iCarly star, Jennette McCurdypublished his book “I am glad that my mother has died”, in which he exposed multiple cases of abuse and harassment suffered by producers and senior managers of Nickelodeon.
