Rayados del Monterrey players held this Wednesday donation of 300 backpacks for children three days from start of the 2022-2023 school year throughout the country; the material was delivered by the footballers Sebastian Vegas, Rodrigo Aguirre and Cesar Ramos in the facilities of Educational and Family Development Center “City of Children”, Topo Chico campus.

“Monterrey Children’s City” started work as a orphanage in the fifties at the father’s initiative Carlos Alvarez and a group of entrepreneurs from Monterrey, an effort to overcome the problems of poverty and abandonment suffered by infants of the metropolitan area.

In 1986, the orphanage became Educational and Family Development Centercurrently serving more than 870 families with 1,221 students enrolled.
