An explosion in a Chicago building on Tuesday injured at least six peopleincluding three who were in serious or critical condition, the city’s fire department said.
Pictures and a video released by the fire department showed the damaged upper floors of a red brick building on West Washington Boulevard and North Central Avenue in Chicago.
The video showed bricks scattered around the corner building and parked cars damaged by falling debris.
The cause of the explosion is unknownprompting the evacuation of an adjacent building, the Chicago Fire Department said on Twitter.
The Chicago Bomb Squad, as well as officers from the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) were on the scene, the fire department said.
The fire department was looking people trapped in collapsed structure and at least 10 ambulances were at the scene of the explosion.
