The government of Sinaloa suspended all school activities in three municipalities of the entity due to the intense rains registered, informed the State Institute of Civil Protection.
Given the rainfall, classes were canceled in the towns of The Fort, Guasave and Navolato. In the remaining 15 municipalities, educational work continues normally. However, PC stressed that in these areas the population is still recommended to exercise caution.
According to the latest report of the National Meteorological Service (SMN)published at 6:00 am, this Friday a low pressure channel will extend over the Sierra Madre Occidental, causing very heavy punctual rains in Nayarit and strong in Sonora, Sinaloa, Jalisco, Colima and Michoacán.
The government agency forecasts that this morning there will be a partly cloudy and cloudy sky in the afternoon with strong punctual rainfall accompanied by electric shocks in Sinaloa.
Likewise, he explained that in the morning there will be a temperate to cool environment with fog banks in mountainous areas of the entity.
For the rest of the country, the SMN warned that a zone of low pressure with probability of cyclonic development located in the south of the Gulf of Tehuantepec, will produce lpunctual torrential rains in Chiapas, intense in Oaxaca, very strong in Veracruz and Tabasco, as well as heavy rains in Puebla and Campeche.
He warned that these could cause an increase in the levels of rivers and streams, landslides and floods in low-lying areas of said entities.
